  • Ally

Ally is new to the rescue life and looking for her forever home! This 9 month old yellow lab/hound mix was skin and bones when she was found as a stray. She has gotten fattened up and is now almost ready for her forever home. She has the sweetest personality, loves fetch, toys, dogs and kids, is gentle and a total snuggle bug. She is less trusting of men initially but warms up quickly. She’s housetrained, up to date on shots, HW neg and recovering from her spay.

  • Cubbie

Hi, my name is Cubbie and I'm a 12 month old, goofy black lab! I am neutered and perfectly healthy. My hobbies include, fetching, eating snackies, going on walks, chewing my Nylabones(stuffed toys don’t stand a chance!), and learning new things. Did I mention I love to fetch!🎾😍 I am wonderful in the car, great on a leash, and I don’t jump up on people, I am potty trained, and I even do the prettiest sit! I would definitely be a couch/bed potato if my foster mom would let me! I love to cuddle and lay next to you and sleep. Although my family told the shelter that I was raised with kids, that is unknown to my foster!

My story is that I was left at an animal shelter by my family due to no fault of my own. I was so scared I wouldn’t even leave my kennel, and there was even talk of euthanizing me! A nice lady at the shelter contacted the lab rescue and they found a foster to pick me so I could have a chance. It took me a long time to warm up to my friends in my foster home, but slowly I started to come out of my shell with lots of patience, treats, and gentle care. I don’t like being in a kennel, or even being left alone, it really scares me, but because my foster mom is a vet tech, and I get to go to work with her everyday. I still try to get lots of practice in a kennel at home as much as I can. I have had multiple training sessions with my trainer, Shane, and he taught my foster mom lots of skills to work with me on that the trainer and my foster mom can pass along to you! Slowly but surely I am making improvements.

My ideal home would be with a family that works from home, or is home a lot, and maybe with an area I can stay since I’m so nervous about my kennel (I make improvements daily but this is still a challenge for me and I still need work). I would thrive in a home where I am the only dog- I have doggy friends at my fosters, but I don’t understand that they aren’t going to take my things away from me, and I’m still in a bit of survival mode. So a family where I get all of the love would be wonderful for me. Since I love to fetch and run as fast as I can, a fenced in yard is a must! Although I am trying really hard everyday to be great in a kennel, I am still very nervous about it, as I am shy about a lot of things, so I need a family with a lot of love to give and a lot of patience and work with me daily. I am the best boy when I am warmed up to you, but that may take some time since I haven’t had a lot of stability in my life. I need a forever home to spend all the rest of my days. I am a loyal, goofy boy with lots of love to give, I just need patience, love, and time, and a second chance at a wonderful life.

Cubbie is a special, loyal dog, and he is so deserving of a FOREVER home. Fostering and adopting out this dog has broken my heart because of how much I love him, but I know there are more dogs out there for me to foster and change their life!
